Why Cape Nursery
The difference starts before delivery

What we grow matters. So does where and how we grow it.

🌊
Coastal conditioning
Our site sits 7km from the Pacific. Every specimen is salt-hardened and wind-toughened from propagation — not acclimatised post-sale.
🛡️
Biosecurity standards
Stringent water treatment, media testing, and integrated pest management. Stock arrives clean, traceable, and free of soil-borne pathogens.
🌱
Root integrity
NIASA-accredited growing ensures fibrous, high-vitality root systems — for faster establishment and lower on-site failure rates.
📐
Full size spectrum
140mm potting stock to 1000L landmark specimens. Same species across the full range for budget and timeline flexibility.
Our story
Grown where
it's meant to live
10×
Reduction in water consumption, with 70–80% now recycled through UV sterilisation and closed-loop drainage
+100%
Growth in production area, now covering 14 acres of trellised growing space with computerised irrigation
1989
Established in Ewingsdale, NSW — family-owned since 2005, supplying from Queensland to South Australia

Situated right on the Northern NSW coast, Cape Nursery's growing site is exposed to the same salt spray, prevailing winds, and intense UV that defines the most demanding project environments on the east coast. Our stock isn't hardened to these conditions. It was born in them.

When you specify Cape Nursery, there's no acclimatisation period. No transplant shock from a sheltered inland environment. Every specimen arrives already adapted — because it has spent its entire production life in conditions that mirror your site.

Since taking ownership in 2005, the team has invested substantially in the infrastructure to match that natural advantage: computerised irrigation, upgraded potting machinery, UV water sterilisation, and a closed-loop recycling system that has cut water consumption by a factor of ten. Quality you can specify with confidence.
